As Of Counsel to the Law Offices of SRIS, P.C., Ms. Medina focuses her practice in Colombia on the full spectrum of family law and criminal law, bringing a deep understanding of the Colombian legal system and a long record of service to vulnerable populations, survivors, and complex case environments.

Ms. Medina began her legal career in Colombia, where she served in several high-impact governmental roles, including as a Prosecutor in the Sexual Cases Unit and the Rapid Reaction Unit of the Office of the District Attorney. Her government service also includes leadership of the Anti-Corruption Task Force at the Caja Agraria State Bank, where she oversaw internal investigations and implemented preventive measures to address misconduct. In addition, she represented Central de Inversiones S.A. in financial, real estate, and consumer debt recovery proceedings.

After relocating part-time to the United States, Ms. Medina broadened her professional background through work with leading family law firms, legal aid organizations, and nonprofit advocacy programs. In these roles, she contributed to family law litigation, healthcare advocacy, housing counseling support, and public benefits assistance. Her U.S. experience strengthened her longstanding commitment to access to justice, especially for Spanish-speaking and immigrant communities, and reinforced her skill in effective, culturally sensitive client communication.

Across her career, Ms. Medina has developed a reputation for her:

  • Extensive litigation and investigatory experience in criminal cases

  • Strong foundation in family law, including drafting, discovery, case preparation, and trial support

  • Ability to manage complex and sensitive caseloads involving vulnerable individuals

  • Cross-border legal expertise, cultural fluency, and bilingual Spanish–English communication skills

  • Leadership of investigative teams and coordination across multidisciplinary environments

Ms. Medina earned her law degree in 1997 from Santo Tomás de Aquino and is a licensed attorney in Colombia.
