It applies to sriscounsel.com only. It does not apply to any other website the firm operates or to any third-party website reached through a link on this site.
Information this site collects
This website does not run analytics software, advertising pixels, session-recording tools, or behavioural tracking of any kind. As of the effective date below, the site loads no Google Analytics tag, no advertising conversion tag, and no social-media tracking pixel.
The site collects information in three ways:
- Information you submit. If you complete the form on the contact page, the details you enter are transmitted through an intake workflow hosted on the firm’s own server and forwarded to firm email. If you telephone or email the firm directly, the firm receives whatever information you choose to provide.
- Server logs. The hosting provider records standard technical data for every request, including IP address, browser type, referring page, and the time of the request. These logs support security and site reliability.
- Functional cookies. The site uses cookies set by WordPress and by its caching software. These support page delivery and session handling. They are not used to build an advertising profile.
Typography on this site is served by Google Fonts. When a page loads, your browser requests those font files from Google, and Google receives your IP address as part of that request. If you prefer to avoid this, your browser’s font and content settings can block the request.
Please do not send confidential information
Contacting the firm through this website does not create an attorney-client relationship. No such relationship exists until conflicts have been cleared, a written engagement letter has been executed by both parties, and any required retainer has been received. Until that has happened, information you send is not protected by the attorney-client privilege. Please do not send confidential, sensitive, or time-sensitive material through this website.
How the firm uses what it receives
Information submitted through this site is used to respond to your enquiry, to run a conflicts check, and to determine whether the firm is able to assist with the matter you describe. Firm email addresses and the intake line are also used to schedule consultations, which are by appointment only.
The firm does not sell personal information. The firm does not share personal information with advertisers or data brokers. Information may be disclosed to service providers that host the site and its email, to jurisdiction-admitted Of Counsel where a matter requires foreign-law input and you have asked the firm to coordinate that, and where disclosure is required by law or by a court of competent jurisdiction.
Visitors outside the United States
Law Offices Of SRIS, P.C. is a United States law firm with an international clientele. If you contact the firm from outside the United States, the information you send will be transmitted to and processed in the United States, where data-protection law differs from the law of your own country. By submitting information through this site, you understand that this transfer takes place.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights over the personal information the firm holds about you.
Virginia residents. Under the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act, you may have the right to confirm whether the firm processes your personal data, to access it, to correct inaccuracies, to request deletion, to obtain a copy, and to appeal a refusal of any of these requests.
Visitors in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom. Under the General Data Protection Regulation and equivalent United Kingdom law, you may have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and objection to processing, together with the right to lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority.
Everyone else. Whatever your location, you may ask the firm what information it holds about you and ask that it be corrected or deleted.

Some information cannot be deleted where the firm is required to retain it under the rules of professional conduct or other legal obligation, and the firm will say so if that is the case.
Retention
Enquiries that do not become engagements are retained only for as long as the firm needs them to run conflicts checks and to meet its record-keeping obligations under the rules of professional conduct. Client files are retained under those same rules.
Security
This site is served over an encrypted connection. The firm takes reasonable measures to protect information in its possession. No method of transmission over the internet is entirely secure, and the firm cannot guarantee the security of information sent to it over the internet.
Children
This website is not directed to children and the firm does not knowingly collect personal information from children through it.
Links to other sites
This site links to government websites, treaty texts, and the firm’s United States domestic practice site. The firm does not control those sites and is not responsible for their privacy practices. Read their policies before submitting information to them.
Changes to this policy
The firm may update this policy. The effective date below records the last revision. Continued use of the site after a revision indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
