Overview

Nikhil Kumar Chaturvedi is an India-admitted advocate and trial litigator who serves as Of Counsel for the India practice of Law Offices of SRIS, P.C. He is enrolled with the Bar Council of Uttar Pradesh, holds a Certificate of Practice from the Bar Council of India, has qualified the All India Bar Examination, and is a member of the Agra Bar Association.

Practice

Nikhil’s practice centers on Indian criminal litigation and defense. He appears across the Indian trial courts — Magistrate, District, and Sessions Courts — handling matters from filing through trial and final disposition, and has conducted examination-in-chief and cross-examination and argued bail at interim and final hearings. His criminal experience ranges from cheque-dishonour matters under the Negotiable Instruments Act to serious offences. Alongside his criminal work, he litigates civil, matrimonial, and consumer-forum disputes, and prepares pleadings, petitions, written statements, notices, and agreements, with associated vetting, compliance review, and court and government liaison.

Courts and reach

Nikhil’s home practice is in Uttar Pradesh, including the Agra courts and the Allahabad High Court region, and his enrollment permits him to appear before courts across India under the Advocates Act, 1961. He works in Hindi and English.

Education

Nikhil earned his Master of Laws (LL.M.) from Amity University in 2019, following his Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar University (formerly Agra University), Agra.

Role at the firm

Within the firm’s cross-border work, Nikhil leads on Indian criminal and related litigation matters and serves as an India liaison, coordinating Indian-law input alongside the firm’s U.S.-licensed attorneys, who lead all U.S.-law matters.
